Clarity of You
The fog is lifting
While I ponder the clarity of you
I am content
Grounded by the making of soup and quesadillas
While I ponder the clarity of you
I am content
Grounded by the making of soup and quesadillas

Surprised by Friendship
From the window seat
I watched the unmovable rock outside
Forever transformed to the podium of presence
Two Crows it took
Side-by-side cawwing their message
Reminding of many times
My daughters stepping up
To announce themselves to the world
And that rock turned to confidence
Like that rock
I watched an idea of my start as a couple
Change to a cornerstone of companionship
An unseeable woman it took
Her message of art, humans and God
Rounded with wit, humor and worldiness
So compelled, and with ease
I was freed to set aside rash starts
And that woman turned to friend
I watched the unmovable rock outside
Forever transformed to the podium of presence
Two Crows it took
Side-by-side cawwing their message
Reminding of many times
My daughters stepping up
To announce themselves to the world
And that rock turned to confidence
Like that rock
I watched an idea of my start as a couple
Change to a cornerstone of companionship
An unseeable woman it took
Her message of art, humans and God
Rounded with wit, humor and worldiness
So compelled, and with ease
I was freed to set aside rash starts
And that woman turned to friend

Polliwogs
Right before we had to migrate to the little pool due to introduction of foreign matter in the big pool.

Rattlesnake - My Messenger?
About a week ago I was working away at my desk, got up and came zooming out of my office only to find this guy stretched across the threshold. Stopped me in my tracks. I just thought that it had made it's way somehow into my office. Others think it was put there deliberately because of the rarity of rattlesnakes where I live. Now I believe it was a totem, or animal familiar come to send me a message to beware. I didn't listen, and although not bit by this uninvited guest did get bit by my own hubris soon after. Next time I'll heed the warning.
